EVERSPACE 2 update brengt de game nieuwe content én Unreal Engine 5

Toen EVERSPACE 2 in Steam Early Access verkeerde, werd de game met zeer grote regelmaat voorzien van nieuwe content. Dat de game nu 1.0 heeft bereikt, betekent echter niet dat dit nu afgelopen is.

Recent verscheen al een forse eerste content update en de tweede is nu ook gearriveerd in de vorm van Incursions. Dit zijn grootschalige confrontaties in de tweede helft van het verhaal, waarin spelers beacons moeten vernietigen om eindeloze hordes vijanden van een andere dimensie te stoppen.

Naast deze nieuwe content, verandert er ook het nodige onder de motorkap. Met Incursions gaat EVERSPACE 2 van Unreal Engine 4 naar 5.3. Hiermee wordt de game toekomstbestendiger en kan ondersteuning worden geboden voor dingen als Lumen GI op DirectX 12, NVIDIA Reflex, Intel XeSS, AMD FSR 3.0 en NVIDIA Frame Generation.

Het zijn niet enkel grote veranderingen die Incursions introduceert. Het remappen van knoppen op consoles wordt ermee beschikbaar, evenals een verbeterde Photo Mode, nieuwe legendaries en modules en een hoop dingen waar de community om gevraagd heeft. Tweaks

  • Legendary items can now roll as “Radiant” grade with superior, but randomized, attributes
  • Legendary items will now rarely drop from High Risk Areas (Level 15+, “Rare” decoder quality and above)
  • Reworked Scout ULT “Shadow Strike”
  • T4 ships can now equip 3 legendary items
  • Ancient Rift stage mutators are now associated with varying loot quality bonuses
