Naughty Dog heeft via het PlayStation Blog de nieuwste DLC uit de doeken gedaan. De DLC genaamd Grounded Bundle moet spoedig verschijnen voor de PlayStation 3. Het pakket bevat nieuwe trophies en een mix van singleplayer en multiplayer content. Onder andere een nieuwe moeilijkheidsgraad is toegevoegd.
De nieuwe Grounded Mode moet er voor zorgen dat The Last of Us bijna onspeelbaar is. De AI is genadeloos, slim en vooral wreed en brutaal. Het is bijna onmogelijk om de levels te doorlopen, maar daar ligt een uitdaging voor de ervaren gamers onder ons. Het voltooien van Grounded Mode zou zo maar eens één van de meest moeilijke trophies ooit kunnen zijn.
De Reclaimed Territories Map Pack bevat vier nieuwe maps: Wharf, Capitol, Coal Mine en de Water Tower. Elke map heeft bepaalde trophies om te verdienen en speelt zich af in een al dan niet bekende locatie van de singleplayer campaign. Slim gebruik maken van klimmen, sluipen, flankeren en al je survival technieken is een must. Hieronder kun je de details van de maps vinden zoals Naughty Dog deze heeft vrijgegeven.

De Grounded Bundle brengt nieuwe wapens en nieuwe survival technieken met zich mee. Alle nieuwe wapens en skills zijn verkrijgbaar als een 'try before you buy', als onderdeel van de nieuwe pre-set load outs. De Survivalist Weapon Bundle bevat vier nieuwe wapens, nameliijk de Specter, Double Barrel, Enforcer en Launcher. De wapens hebben één voor één unieke attributen en zijn gebalanceerd om nieuwe speelstijlen te hanteren in de online multiplayer. Uiteraard had Naughty Dog ook voor elke wapen een korte beschrijving.

Twee nieuwe Survival Skills Bundles, genaamd Situational Survival Skills Bundle en Professional Survival Skills Bundle, zijn ook bijgevoegd wanneer je over een Season Pass beschikt. De inhoud van deze pakketten is eveneens toegelicht.
| Situational Survival Skills Bundle | Unlock four survival skills that will help you get the best of any situation. This bundle includes Agility, Awareness, Fortitude, and Scavenger. |
| Agility | Climb, vault, and move while crouching faster than you could before. At level 3 you are nearly impossible to hear while moving. |

| Fortitude | Downed? Level up this skill and it will help you survive longer as you’ll take longer to bleed out, crawl faster, and have more health when downed. At higher levels you’ll start with an extra health pack, and earn extra parts each time you heal. |
| Scavenger | Automatically pick up ammo and supplies and see increases in drops from enemies with this valuable skill. At level 3 enemies sometimes drop a random crafting ingredient. |
| Professional Survival Skills Bundle | Unlock four survival skills that will make you even more deadly. This bundle includes Gunslinger, Bomb Expert, Executioner, and Damage Marker. |
| Gunslinger | Equip this skill to start each spawn with more pistol ammo as you level up the skill. |
| Bomb Expert | Your bombs will explode more quickly and you’ll be immune to the stun of your own smoke bomb as you level up this skill. |
| Executioner | If your play style is the higher the risk, the greater the reward then this is the skill you want. Earn more parts for shiv kills and special executions, and get extra shiv uses every time you craft a shiv. |
| Damage Marker | Good at hitting your targets? This is the skill for you as you’ll automatically mark any enemies you hit and earn double the parts for making. |
Als klap op de vuurpijl is er voor iedereen, met of zonder Season Pass, een nieuw wapen, genaamd The Full-Auto Rifle. Dit volautomatische, gemodificeerde wapen is simpel om te gebruiken. Het wapen is zowel aan te raden voor nieuwe als ervaren spelers.
Uiteraard raadt Naughty Dog je aan om nog binnen vier weken een Season Pass aan te schaffen. Hierdoor kun je in totaal 80% korting vergaren over alle content. Na 13 mei zal het echter niet meer mogelijk zijn om hier gebruik van te maken. Wanneer de DLC zelf verschijnt is nog niet bekend.
