Baldur's Gate 3 was de grote winnaar van de Golden Joystick awards

Vooral die laatste valt op als je het in perspectief plaatst. Baldur's Gate 3 kreeg maar liefst 26% van de stemmen, terwijl de tweede plek, gevuld door The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, het moest doen met 14%. De top vijf werd verder gevuld door Marvel's Spider-Man 2, Resident Evil 4 Remake en Final Fantasy XVI.

Als je dit vergelijkt met Most Wanted Game Award, welke werd gewonnen door Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth, die slechts 12% haalde, gevolgd door Hades II met 10% en S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 met 9%, valt te zien hoe afwijkend de verdeling van Ultimate Game of the Year in werkelijkheid is.
