Sony heeft op zijn officiële blog de prijzen en inhoud voor de PlayStation Plus service bekend gemaakt. Deze service gaat op 29 juni van start. Iedere maand wordt er extra content aangeboden aan de leden van PlayStation Plus.
Om lid te worden van PlayStation Plus betaal je 50 euro voor een jaar of 15 euro voor 3 maanden. Betalen kan je doen via de PSN kaarten of met je Visa kaart. Ieder lid ontvangt elke maand gratis één PSN spel, twee minis spellen en één PS One Classic game. Die spellen kan je niet zelf kiezen. De eerste maand wordt bij wijze van introductie, de volledige versie van LittleBigPlanet aangeboden. De inhoud voor de eerste twee maanden is als volgt:
- Maand 1: 29 Juni tot 3 Augustus
- Intro offer: LBP (standaard editie)
- PSN PS3: Wipeout HD
- minis: Field Runners, Age of Zombies
- PSone: Destruction Derby
- Full Game Trial: Shatter, Savage Moon

Sony wil tenslotte nog benadrukken dat de huidige PSN features gewoon gratis blijven, en dat dit in de toekomst ook niet zal veranderen.
