Daar rebellen natuurlijk niet de volledige macht van een koninkrijk achter zich hebben, spelen ze heel anders dan de TEC Loyalists. Dat betekent echter niet dat je ze kunt onderschatten. Niet enkel komt deze factie met zijn eigen gebouwen, gepaard met een nieuw culture system van Broadcast Centers, Envoys en Trade Networks die commerciële groei versnellen en zelfs een revolutie in verloren gebied kunnen ontketenen, maar ze hebben ook hun eigen soort fregat en capital ships.
