Battle royale hero shooter Farlight 84 krijgt vandaag een forse nieuwe content update. Zó groot zelfs, dat developer Farlight Games het beschouwd als een compleet nieuw spel.
Ze veranderen (nog net) niet de naam ervan, maar wel gaat de launch van deze update gepaard met een ware relaunch trailer. Al is het feitelijk inderdaad wel een flinke make-over. Niet enkel wordt er nu een first-person mode toegevoegd, maar we krijgen ook een nieuwe held, een hoop nieuwe wapens, een nieuwe map en nog veel meer! [New Game Mode]
First-Person Mode
- Added a new first-person camera perspective that can be selected during matchmaking.
- First-Person Mode is available for Ducksyde, Beau, Kui Dou, Maggie, Freddie, Ling Bo, Maychelle, Phantom, Nightwatch, Momoi, Ember, and Syfer. Certain Lightcatchers and Skins will be added to First-Person Mode at a later date.

Kui Dou
- Tactical Skill: Gale Stride
- Kui Dou enters a state of higher consciousness, increasing movement speed. Upon leaving combat, a portion of the HP lost while Gale Stride is active will gradually recover.
- Trait 1: Reduces Gale Stride cooldown.
- Trait 2: While Gale Stride and Cosmic Authority are active, Kui Dou can perform a Gale Sprint.
- Tactical Skill: Cosmic Throw
- Kui Dou throws a Cosmic Mine that chases enemies, dealing damage and inflicting Slow.
- Trait 1: Cosmic Mines reduce Gale Stride cooldown when they hit enemies.
- Trait 2: Greatly increases Cosmic Mine detection duration and range.
- Ultimate: Cosmic Authority
- Kui Dou transforms into the Cosmic Authority, greatly increasing attack and defense.
- Trait 1: Enemies hit by the Cosmic Authority gain Slow.

Syfer (Revamped)
- Tactical Skill: Pixel Penetrator
- Releases a malicious program that locates the nearest enemy by detecting shield fluctuations and deals damage. The enemy's location is indicated by an arrow.
- Trait 1: Grants an extra use, but slightly increases cooldown.
- Trait 2: Syfer gains a temporary shield when this skill hits hacked enemies.
- Tactical Skill: Coords Shift
- Launches a Blink Cube that Syfer can teleport to. Syfer can teleport while the Cube is in the air, or wait until it lands.
- Trait 1: Reduces Coords Shift cooldown.
- Trait 2: Syfer can return to her original location after teleporting. Returning increases skill cooldown.
- Ultimate: Constraining Code
- Launches a Pulse Device that generates a digital forcefield, attacking and Silencing enemies within range.
- Trait 1: Deals greater damage to summons and suppresses their functions.
- Trait 2: While this skill is active, Syfer takes less damage for every enemy hacked.

New Map Features
- Safe Zone Predictor: Located in the Research Facility, the Safe Zone Predictor gives players ongoing updates on the location of the next Safe Zone.
- Cargo Drones: Appear randomly in the northern area of the map. Shoot them down to receive high-level items.
- Factory Vault: Picking up the Vault Keycard grants access to the Vault underneath the Mega Factory, which has a chance to contain high-level items and Archon Buddies. The Vault Keycard can be obtained by shooting down Cargo Drones, and has a chance to appear within the Mega Factory.
- Buddy-Matic: Located in the Eco-Dome and Costa Nextara. Summons Super Buddies, with a chance to summon an Archon Buddy.
- Scan Device: Located in the Emergency Center. Scans the whole map and displays enemy positions on the mini-map.
New Interactive Objects
- Rat Cannon: Climb aboard the Rat Cannons located in fixed locations in the map, and blast off to your destination! Up to 3 players can mount a Rat Cannon at a time. If you hit one of the Acceleration Rings while in mid-air, your Lightcatcher will gain a huge speed boost and fly even further!
- Mega-Rail: A super-long Zipline-like structure that snakes across the map, allowing players to quickly travel between areas.

- Archon Buddies: Archon Buddies have a chance to appear and be caught by players during matches. Archon Buddies are displayed on the mini-map.

Pistol Drum Mag

- When equipped, the Pistol Drum Mag disables the Magazine slot. Magazines can be equipped, but will not change the weapon's attributes.

- Auto-fire mode has its own rate of fire and damage, dealing 16 damage at optimum range.

Improvements and Changes
[System Improvements]
- Improved visuals for Lightcatchers in the lobby.
- Improved mode select, allowing you to quickly select your preferred gameplay mode.
- Improved season mission system, removing missions that might negatively affect the game experience and adding a mission progress bar to the lobby.
- Improved Store system. More items are now displayed in the Store, and items also include tags that display more details.
- Improved squad selection interface. You can now select which Entrance Emote you would like to play from the Heroes tab.
- Improved the match summary interface. You can now quickly move on to the next match. Changes to rewards and tiers are also displayed more clearly.
- Improved item visuals in the item pickup interface.
- Improved the reporting system. You can begin the reporting process at any point during a match.
- Due to the major changes in this update, settings data could not be retained due to incompatibility. Settings will be reset to their default values following the update.
[Combat Improvements]
- Added a 3D damage source indicator. You can toggle between 2D and 3D indicators in the Settings menu.
- Lightcatchers will stand after Jetsliding by default in the PC version.
- Added an option to immediately use healing items when switching to them on mobile.
- Knocked down Lightcatchers will now recover 25% HP upon being rescued (previously 40%).
- Changed respawn duration when resurrecting squadmates using Loot Boxes to 12s/14s/16s. Duration increases each time a squadmate is resurrected.
- Lightcatchers will now recover 25% HP upon being resurrected via Loot Box.
[Gameplay Improvements]
- Adjusted Sponsor Box rewards. The final Sponsor Boxes will include Super Buddies, Growth XP, and other, better rewards.
- In Classic mode, Lightcatchers will have Level 2 (green) shields and one Trait Point available at the start of the match.
- In Classic mode, defeating higher-level players will grant extra rewards depending on the difference in XP.

- Reduced Tidal Shield damage reduction while in human form, and Tidal Shield movement speed in dragon form.
- Changed Trait 1: Tidal Shield durability is increased in human form, while both damage and durability are increased in dragon form.
- Tactical Skill: Dragon's Lair
- Improved animation visuals when going from high areas to lower areas while transforming.
- Increased movement speed in dragon form. Reduced skill anticipation and recovery time. Jumping will consume Energy.
- Upgrading to Trait 1 will increase maximum Energy and increase Damage Reduction while in dragon form.
- Changed Trait 2: Ling Bo recovers HP while outside combat in dragon form, and recovers even more within Aquatic Zones. Debuff removal effect is now part of Dragon's Lair skill.
- Ultimate Skill: Turbulent Realm
- Removed external walls in active Turbulence Zones. Removed Slow and Silence effects for enemies that cross zone boundaries.

Maychelle
- Added first-person perspective support.
- Tactical Skill: Sonic Wave
- Improved mini speaker visuals. Advance warnings are now clearer.
- Improved mini speaker adhesion logic. Damage-dealing sound waves are now emitted according to throwing direction.
- Mini speakers now deal 15 damage every second initially, and 25 damage every second after upgrade. (Previously 6/10 damage every 0.4s)
- Ultimate: Ongoing Show
- Improved rock stage model (it now looks way cooler).
- Removed jump area to climb the stage, and added 3 Ziplines that players can use to climb on and off stage.
- Skill use does not slow down movement. You can use the skill from any movement position.
- Improved summoning location logic. It is now easier to summon the stage.
- Upgrading to Trait 1 increases rock stage barrier durability.
- Initial barrier durability is 150. Increases to 300 after upgrading to Trait 1.
- Added visual effects after upgrading to Trait 2.
Ember
- Temporarily removed from hero selection. Will return soon in a later update.
- Any related assets owned will be retained and can be used again when Ember returns.

- Tactical Skill: Interstellar Leap

- Ultimate Skill: Divulge
- Skill cooldown changed to 120s initially, and 105s after upgrade. (Previously 90s/72s)
[Controller Improvements]
- Added Classic mode to custom controller keymapping. This mode removes combination keys linked to a secondary action button.
- Adjusted controller aim handling and aim assist strength.
- Added vibration effects for weapons, basic movement, and taking hits.
