Het gaat hier om Amazon Games Montreal, dat bezig is met de MOBA game March of Giants. Met deze overname komen ook twee oud Ubisoft werknemers terug naar Ubisoft. Het gaat hier om Alexandre Parizeau, die voor Ubisoft Toronto heeft gewerkt en Xavier Marquis, die bij Ubisoft de lead developer van Rainbow Six Siege was.
Dit heeft Yves Guillemot te zeggen over de terugkeer van Marquis en Parizeau:
"We’re looking forward to welcoming back Alexandre, Xavier, and many of the seasoned March of Giants team who have previously worked at Ubisoft, and the entire team’s ambition, creativity, and talent align perfectly with our desire to build bold new experiences for players. We look forward to supporting them as they shape the future of this promising new IP."
En Marquis is ook blij met zijn terugkeer bij Ubisoft:
"Returning to Ubisoft brings things full circle. We built some of our most meaningful work here, and we’re excited to continue developing March of Giants from within Ubisoft. This game has enormous potential, and I know Ubisoft can help us take it to the next level."
Amazon heeft overigens de belofte aan Ubisoft gedaan dat ze gaan helpen met de marketing van de game.
Het is nog niet bekend wanneer March of Giants uit moet komen; de game komt in ieder geval uit op Steam.
