Dat Call Of Duty: Black Ops II uitermate populair is zal niemand verbazen, tenzij je onder een steen gelegen hebt natuurlijk. Dit feit werd bevestigd door het lijstje van Google met de meest gezochte termen, maar ook op YouTube doet de game het goed.
Black Ops II is namelijk vier keer te vinden in de top tien best bekeken trailers uit 2012. Het neemt zelfs zowel de eerste als tweede plaats in, waarmee het onder andere The Dark Knight Rises achter zich laat. Het officiële lijstje is als volgt:
