Games als Zelda 3DS en Kid Icarus zullen gereleased worden wanneer ze klaar zijn. Dit zal pas ten vroegste na de E3-beurs zijn die in juni gepland staat. Hierdoor vallen deze titels buiten het launchkader van de Nintendo 3DS.
Reggie Fils-Aime, CEO van Nintendo Amerika, bevestigde dit in een interview met MTV's multiplayerblog.
"Mario, Zelda... all of those titles are coming, and from our perspective we like to launch titles when they're ready. They'll be ready and they'll be ready soon, but just not in that initial time period of late March to early June."
"For games like Kid Icarus, Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Mario Kart... those games we'll share more information about at E3. Certainly they'll launch after E3."
Bij de release zullen enkel 3 Nintendo-games het halen: Steel Diver, Nintendogs + Cats en Pilotwings Resort.
