Genomineerden D.I.C.E. Awards bekend; The Last of Us kanshebber GOTY

Er zijn talloze prijzen die een game kan winnen, waaronder de jaarlijkse D.I.C.E. (Design, Innovate, Communicate, Entertain) Awards. Deze Awards worden uitgereikt aan de beste games van 2013 in verschillende categorieën.

Volgens de pers leidt The Last of Us met dertien nominaties, waaronder de befaamde Game of The Year Award. Andere genomineerde zijn onder andere Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, Bioshock Infinite, Grand Theft Auto V en The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds.

Naast The Last of Us zijn er nog meer games met meerdere nominaties, waaronder Grand Theft Auto V met zeven nominaties, Bioshock Infinite met zes en Assassin's Creed IV en Tearaway hebben beiden vijf nominaties.

Hieronder staat de volledige lijst met genomineerden, welke zijn gespeeld en beoordeeld door leden van de Academy's Peer Panels. Deze panels, één voor iedere categorie, bestaan uit getalenteerde en ervaren mensen uit de game-industrie en tevens experts zijn in de aan hun gekoppelde categorie. De genomineerden zijn er dus niet zomaar eentje. Winnaars worden gekozen via een stemming onder 22.000 leden van de Academy.
