PlayStation Suite was reeds aangekondigd voor Android toestellen. Echter gaat Sony het hier niet bij houden en zullen ze wanneer de tijd rijp is PlayStation Suite ook naar iOS en Windows Phone 7 brengen.
Met PlayStation Suite zal het mogelijk zijn om op je smartphone oude PSone-klassiekers te spelen. Dit is nog maar het begin, want Sony liet ook al weten dat ze specifiek ook games willen ontwikkelen voor PlayStation Suite. Echter neemt men alle tijd om dit platform te ontwikkelen. Verder zullen waarschijnlijk nog andere toestellen aanbod komen zoals hun eigenste Bravia-tv's.
"There are a variety of operating systems, but we're focusing first on Android," said Sony Computer Entertainment chief Kaz Hirai, in a conference translated by Andriasang.
"There's also Windows, iOS and so forth, but we don't have the resources to make it compatible with everything from the start.
"We're not ruling out PSS even on products like Sony Internet TV Powered by Google (Google TV) if adoption rate increases, or if it will help push adoption greatly."
"We have a completely open stance with carriers and handset makers."
Wanneer PlayStation Suite voor Android wordt gelanceerd, is nog onbekend.
