Een aantal games komen voor zowel de Xbox One als de PlayStation 4 uit. Denk bijvoorbeeld aan Watch Dogs, Battlefield, FIFA, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, maar ook aan Call of Duty: Ghosts. Via Call of Duty: Ghosts deelt Sony een sneer uit richting Microsoft.
PlayStation Europa speelt namelijk gretig in op het feit dat de PlayStation 4 de enige next-gen console is waarop je Call of Duty: Ghosts in 1080p kunt spelen. De Xbox One versie loopt op 720p, wat onlangs is onthuld.
